Need to copy widget formatting when copying survey

We create survey templates that we copy and then edit for different clients. We need to maintain pre-formatted Results widgets when we do this. Right now, the Results widgets all reset. At the very least, it would be helpful for the survey to just remember that we de-selected certain questions (metadata, privacy questions, etc) in the Results page. Does anyone have a workaround or a suggestion to solve this problem?

Hi,

As far as I know, Qualtrics doesn’t carry over Results widget formatting when you copy a survey – all the widget settings reset, including any filters or de-selected questions. 

A couple of things that might help:

  • If you’re using CX Dashboards (not just the standard Results section), you can export a dashboard from one survey and import it into another. That preserves widget settings.
  • Otherwise, we’ve just created a quick reference doc where we log what filters/settings we use for common widgets, so it’s easier to manually recreate them after copying.
