Not all rows of embedded data show up?

@RLord When did you add this Embedded Data? Are 9 response having value the most recent one? Because this need to be setup before collecting data.

It’s generally recommended that the set embedded data block is the first block of your survey flow, unless you’re using something like an authenticator. I don’t know if that placement could’ve caused any issues

This data was present in the initial upload of the list which Qualtrics says is what’s important.  Just can’t get it to show up on the Data tables.  Yep the most recent are the 9 after i added the embedded data block but again the instructions say it’ll work for all responses as long as the initial list contained the variable.

Don’t worry, I used to made that mistake too. You can still Export the responses, fill them with the embedded data you need and import them back

OK if anyone is still following this thanks for the tips. I copied my project so I had a sandbox.  Exported the responses, (figured out the best export type to use), added the missing metadata to the responses, imported them back into my copy.  All good, EXCEPT in the “configure import” step, ALL the dropdowns default to “Ignore Column” and I have to go through each one and select the correct question or data element in the dropdown.  When testing with some smaller imports it would populate all the dropdowns correctly.  Is this happening because I’m adding new columns?

@RLord It’s normal mapping them back. The whole auto-mapping import stuff is a bit complicated. Just remember some field that you have to leave out: RecordDate, ResponseType, ResponseID...

Why do you have to leave out those fields?  I included ResponseID and it didn’t seem to matter.  Of course I was importing those results with added data into a COPY of my original survey so it didn’t create duplicates.  I’m of course doing the analysis in the copy.

@RLord Your imported data will be auto assigned with new ResponseID so it might cause you confusion
