Quotas per block | XM Community

Dear community,

For my survey I want to use a general introduction followed by several blocks that each contain specific questions connected to videos. I have set up the intro and blocks I need, and I have added quotas per block in terms of the number of respondents per block. For examples Block 1 quota = equal to 50 responses and then branch to Block 2 etc. until all blocks have gathered the number of responses I need. Am I on the right track?

Thank you!

Survey Setup

  1. General Introduction Block:

    • Add an introductory block with information about the survey.
  2. Blocks with Quotas:

    • Block 1: Add questions and video for Block 1.
    • Quota for Block 1:
      • Go to Survey Flow.
      • Add a "Quota" element.
      • Set the quota for Block 1 to 50 responses.
    • Branching Logic for Block 1:
      • In Survey Flow, add a branch below the quota.
      • Condition: If Block 1 quota is met, direct to Block 2.
  3. Repeat for Additional Blocks:

    • Block 2:
      • Add questions and video for Block 2.
      • Set a quota for Block 2 (e.g., 50 responses).
      • Add branching logic to move to Block 3 if Block 2 quota is met.
    • Continue this process for all blocks.

Steps in Qualtrics

  1. Create Survey Blocks:

    • Go to “Survey” tab.
    • Add blocks for each section with questions and videos.
  2. Set Quotas:

    • Go to “Survey Flow”.
    • Click “+ Add a New Element Here” and select “Quota”.
    • Set the quota (e.g., Block 1 = 50 responses).
  3. Branching Logic:

    • In “Survey Flow”, add a “Branch”.
    • Set conditions for branching (e.g., if Block 1 quota met, then move to Block 2).
  4. Monitor Quotas:

    • Regularly check the "Distributions" tab to monitor responses and adjust if needed.
