Hi All-

I’m a new user to Qualtrics and am not well-versed in html or javascript. I’d like to create an order type form where end user can enter catalog number, item description, quantity, and cost and the form will update totals accordingly. I feel like this should already be a template, but I’m unable to locate one. I’ve perused the math help page, but most of it is nonsensical to me. Does anyone have a resource available for building custom code?

@ikoller

Try including a form field type question for the items you would like to calculate and post which you can use math operations in survey flow within an embedded data and it will be calculated post next button is clicked.

Also, would like to know more what are you trying to calculate here something like (quantity*cost)?

@Deepak , I’m looking for something along the lines of this:

Catalog # Item Description Quantity Cost Total

@Deepak , ooooh, I have not. This looks promising! Is there a way to total the lines to have a grand total at the bottom of the last column?

Unfortunately, No!

You can only total either the statements or scale points.

For having a grand total you can do either custom code (for realtime ) or you can use math operations for the same.
