Syncing an unsubscribe back to Salesforce? | XM Community

Hello and good afternoon from a snowy Sweden!

Does anybody know how I can set up an automatic feature where a user who clicks unsubscribe in a Qualtrics email, is not only added to the Unsubscribe list in Qualtrics, but that event is also synced back to the contact in Salesforce?

I have found this thread, but I honestly don’t understand the intended setup set as “Best answer”. It’s 6 years old so perhaps there is a new and better way of accomplishing this?

Thanks in advance and have a great rest of 2023!

Good morning from a stormy and freezing Sweden!

No-one able to help with this? Perhaps 2024 added some tricks up your sleeve and someone could be able to assist?

Thanks in advance

-Mattias

Hi,

It’s still the way to go, although it’s been documented on the support site since then. See https://www.qualtrics.com/support/integrations/salesforce-integration/more-salesforce-integration/salesforce-best-practices/#SalesforceOptOut

@MattiasM

Go to standalone workflows and use this trigger Experience ID Change Event (qualtrics.com)

Add salesforce response mapping task below and map it back to Salesforce.

Hope it helps!

That’s an interesting solution @Deepak , my understanding though is that you would need a workflow for each possible mailing list or otherwise modify your unsubscribe links so that they always are at the directory level. Am I correct?

Good morning from a freezing Sweden!

Thanks for this. It’s so weird this does not come up in any of my Goggling attempts. It’s just how I almost thought it should work :)

Thanks and have a great day!
