Can I link two surveys completed by different people?

We want to distribute surveys to parents and children, but for each parent-child pair's survey responses to be linked. We could link them with names, but we want every participant to be able to submit anonymously if possible. Is there a way to do this? The parent and child are mainly completing different questions, but one survey they are completing is the same, hence why we want to compare their responses.

    Hi drfreeman I think the way to do this would be to assign a "family ID" to each pair before launching the survey and then bring that in as embedded data.
