Converting "Click all that apply" questions to useable data

When I download the "click all that apply" questions from Qualtrics, I get a string of numbers (i.e. 1,3,5,7) which I understands means that the respondent selected those options. However, I need to analyze this information in SPSS. Since there are 12 options, is the only way to manually create 12 dummy variables in Excel? I can't find how to do this. I have over 200 respondents and there must be a better way than manually creating 12 dummies. Any help welcome.

They will be split into separate fields when you download an SPSS file. With a CSV, they are split into separate fields if you check "Split multi-value fields into columns".
