Hello All, Do reverse coded answers automatically transfer into SPSS or do I have to manually recode the reverse responses into SPSS? Regards, Jo

If you have define the recording in Qualtrics itself than in SPSS it will appear as you defined in Qualtrics. If it is not define u can use recoding syntax in SPSS like recode variable q1 (5=1 ,4=2).

Your Superb, So just to clarify: So when I initially created the survey I added all the scores and the those that were reversed scored too. From what you're saying when I transferred the Qualtrics survey to SPSS it took all the results as they were marked with it. (e.g don't reverse code the answers in SPSS otherwise they will no-longer be reverse coded?) Thanks bansalpeeyush29 that's incredibly helpful Josephine
