File Upload Delete option for respondent

It appears that the product idea forum linked in the first comment is now offline, but the need for users to delete a file they’ve uploaded before submitting the form is still a need.

We’re considering a workaround of adding text saying “It’s not possible to delete a file once attached. If you need to delete a file, you can upload a different file instead.” but that feels overly confusing and “hacky”.

​@greggles Try using the New Survey Taking Experience, which supports removing an uploaded file for the File Upload question. If using other layouts, the respondent would need to replace the uploaded file.

Thanks for that pointer. I’ll investigate which surveys we’re using.
