Getting back data from deleted questions

Hello,
I am trying to restore data from questions that were deleted. I have tried to restore questions and find the data in downloaded output, which is unfortunately empty, and via 'View responses' which suggests that the questions have 'not been presented to the participants'. I have also restored a previous version of the survey where the block was still presented but there is also no associated data. Could someone please let me know what else I can try?

    Once restored, try publishing the survey and then check the data.
    I tried and able to see the data.

    Thanks for your quick response!

    Unfortunately, the output still reports that the questions had not been presented to the participants.
