Have I lost data by changing the format of a question?

Hi
I updated the format of the answer to one question (from text box to upload file) after my participants had started completing the survey. Some people had answered questions using the text box (before I changed this). But I can't see their answers. Did I loose this data when I changed the format of the question?

Whenever in future you want to change the question type in live survey, always add a new question and add false display logic to old question. Check this page especially FAQ section.
Not sure by this method but just try restoring to previous version(Do Not Publish when you are viewing previous version) and download the old data.
