Hi, I am a research student conducting a pilot trial that involves participants undertaking a survey quiz before and after they use a tool designed by our team. In doing so, we would like to use Qualtrics to match the participant survey results before and after the intervention. At the moment we thought of adding a "security question" that the participants could create and answer in the pre-intervention quiz, which would then be re-generated and answered in the post-intervention quiz to match individual participant's test results. Is there some way to perform this?
In the before intervention survey, just generate a random number and assign it to embedded data. In the same study create a 'add to XM directory' action task and add the contact with this random id as external data reference in a contact list. Display this random id and ask them to remember this random id number for after intervention study.
In the after intervention study, the first question should be to ask their assigned random id. After this question in survey flow, add an authenticator with same contact list that was used in before intervention study. If authenticated then allow to continue with the survey, else terminate them with the required message.
