I have a survey of 15 questions, and its divided into 5 sections. all the questions are multiple choice(never to always- 5 point scale) and i want to score it 1-5 range. I need to calculate the avg for each section and the overall average of all the 15 questions. Also i want to display the result to the survey taker based on the score calculated. Its a type of behavior assessment survey. i want to display the results based on a range like -e.g if the overall score is between 10-15 then they should get a set of analysis at the end of the survey based on their score.

can anyone help out? I very new in Qualtrics.

Use scoring pipe text to get average
Thanks for replying.. Can recode values be used instead of score to achieve the same results?

Recode values are not recommended to use as score, as it can disturb scoring while survey edit.

Go through the link as it works pretty cool. Also, you can use math operation instead for average.
