Importing surveys - Having trouble with "curly quotation marks" and "en dashes"

Hi,
I have made a .txt document to import into Qualtrics but am having problems with just 2 aspects.

  1. Curly quotation marks changed into a chinese character??

  2. The en dashes in my .txt file change into boxes in the survey view.

Hi nana! If you have not yet already, we recommend reviewing this support page about preparing your txt file. You must follow exactly how it looks on the support page - additional and special characters such as quotations, dashes, slashes, etc. may cause issues.     Hi, LaurenK turns out the issue was that I didn't save the file as UTF-8.
