Is Loop & Merge piping broken?

I'm trying to loop & merge a ranking question. First I ask which companies from a list the respondent has used. I then ask them to rank these companies on a series of metrics.
For this I'm trying to use loop & merge, repeating the questions for each company chosen. However, I can't pipe the option into the question text. I instead get "How do you rate Company A, Company B, Company F for speed of service?" etc. I want the question to show "How do you rate Company A for speed of service?", followed by Company B, Company F etc on subsequent loops. I'm sure this is how it used to work? Or am I going crazy and this was never possible?

My guess is you're pulling in the wrong piped fields, or failed to indicate that the block is a Loop and merge block. Seems to be working fine for me at least?
Turn on the loop and merge, based on the question with the companies...

Then Pipe in the feild for the company...
