Hi Everyone,

I am a Research Fellow at the University of Surrey, working with vHive team. We are currently working on the ALPHA-Zoetis initiative, project that is founded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Zoetis. For the project purposes, we will be looking at livestock production and other more general data in few African countries As you are well aware, data coverage in Africa isn't always great! Here where Qualtrics offline App may come to be handy.

With this regards, I have a few questions for this community:

1-We need to collect as much as possible precise coordinates of our participants. I would like to know from you if this precision is possible with the Offline App and whether it may impact on the tablet type choice. Can Qualtrics offline app capture the exact location? I am having very different inputs from different sources. Our Qualtrics representative suggested that, when offline, Qualtrics cannot really capture location. Also, on the website it looks like that, if the GPS function is activated for offline use, the location collected and linked to the survey is the last online location. Did you have a similar experience?

2-What type of tablet would you suggest for compatibility with Qualtrics and this kind of setting (dust, heat, lack of electricity, etc)? Having the technical details could help us in driving our decision on purchases. I would be very grateful if you could list them.

3-Also, have you ever used GPS portable devices (i.e. Garmin..) and linked the location to the Qualtrics survey? If yes, do you have any specific tool to suggest us? How did you manage to join the location data with the survey data, avoiding operator errors and data loss?
