Hello everyone,
I created a matrix question with 7 statements in the rows and a 5-point scale in the top (very important to not important at all). For the statements that respondents find very important or important (Top-2 box) I would like to ask the follow-up open-ended question about 'Why they find this important?'. However, I only want to ask this question maximum three times and the statement should be inserted in the question text so I know which statement their answers refer to.
I have now created a new block with the question "Why do you find: XXXX important? ". I put Loop and Merge on this block and the loop is based off the Marix question. I have also selected Randomize loop order - and present only 3 of the loops. However, for selected choices I can only choose one answer: very important or important and not both of them. Is there a way to solve this? Or is there another solution to my issue?
Thanks in advance,
Christel

We do not need loop and merge in this case.
Create a block with 7 questions i.e. one for each statement of matrix, and add display logic on each of them as if for respective statement top 2 was selected. Now, use question randomization and put all question under - randomly display only 'three' items list

When I do this I get the warning sign: Note: use Display logic carefully in a randomized block. Can I ignore this warning?
