I am wanting to insert a comment box within the same question that is multiple choice.
i.e.
How do you rate the quality of fresh fruit in your supermarket?
- 1 (Poor)
- 2
- 3
- 4
- 5 (Excellent)
Comment box to explain:
____________________________________________________________________________
Does anyone know how to do this please?

hi @Bruce
you have two options here that i can think of.
1) add a text entry question after this one and ensure it displays on the same page as the multiple choice question. this would provide you with generic answers. you can also add some display logic onto the text entry questions so it will only display in page once the multiple choice question has been answered, but you need to select all answer options in the display logic.
you can find details on setting up display logic here: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/edit-survey/question-options/display-logic/
2) when you type in each individual answer to the multiple choice question you can select the little drop down option on the right hand side of the box and the select 'allow text entry'. this can be added to all answer options, but i am not a fan of how it displays to be honest.
i suggest option 1 :)
thanks,
Ben
