Simple question, hopefully it is not too rudimentary. In the data & analysis function, I want to know if there is a way to choose to remove the survey metadata fields prior to exporting a csv or xlsx report. It appears I can uncheck and check these fields but these columns always then are produced in the export, am i missing something obvious? Or should this be done in the Reports function? Thanks for the help.

The only way I know of is only feasible if your survey has a small number of questions/columns.
If you display all of the fields in the Data & Analysis view that you want in your output file, and uncheck the "Download All Fields" box in the Export window, then the resulting csv file will only contain those fields. However, as you might imagine, the more fields you need to include in your output file, the less practical this solutions becomes.
