Hi all. I am looking to send out a survey and have been asked to segment by state... any recommendations? Is it better to separate my panels by state? Of ask the user to select their location in the survey. My concern is pulling in all the appropriate data in my final report. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If you already know their state, populate a state embedded variable from the contact list. If not, ask the user to select their location in the survey. Separating panels (aka contact list) by state doesn't help and just creates extra work.

Great, I haven't done that before. That is really helpful!

If state information is already there in the panel or distribution list you can get it stored as embedded data and you can use it than for segmenting results. If this information is not there ask a question.
