As a default setting on brand admin level, we requested a switch to turn off GPS coordinates and IP address storage from the user when submitting a survey. This would be in accordance with the principle of ‘privacy by default’, as stated in GDPR. If this switch is turned off by default, only researchers who need location info to answer their research question, should be able to enable the storage of location data on an individual level (after approval in their research data management plan). Are there other community members who would like to have such a feature as well, or are there community members who have ideas about the development of such a feature?

There is a "View restricted data" for users that we are using for this
This should be a separate setting, it should not require complete anonymization of data to turn off IP & Location data for responses (and also, separate settings for visibility of the information)
