Transferring data to a second survey automatically
I would like to pull data from one survey into a new survey automatically. There are about 5 questions in survey 1 I would like to put into survey 2. For example, if they put a "type of exam" in survey 1 can I pull whatever answer (multiple choice and/or free text) into a question for survey 2. Once they have finished survey 1 can it automatically input the data in survey 2 without having to actually do a survey 2?
Revoking my original answer. It wasn't what you were asking for, and I see that now. Apologies, I can't delete my answer outright.
What you will have to do is send the answers from Survey 1 Into the Embedded data via a contact list trigger, then send survey two with those still in the embedded data.
So, if you want to save an answer from Survey1 Q1, create on Survey one an embedded data Category, "Survey1 Q1 =" and pipe in their answer.
Then use contact list trigger to associate the answer with the panelist:

Then when creating survey 2, pull in embedded data "from panel":
