Which question format to use selected answers from a question and ask how long they have done it?

I would like to ask participants to select the areas where they have worked from a multiple choice list. Then in the following question take their responses (only the areas they selected) and ask how long they have worked in those areas.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to format this?

IF you want to keep question 2 open ended, then you can carry forward selected choices from Q1 in Q2 form fileds
