Has anyone heard of website feedback intercepts affecting google rankings or SEO? | XM Community
Skip to main content

Our team is running some site-intercept surveys on some top-performing SEO pages. The intercept went live on 1/4/2023 and ran through 1/18.
Our analytics team noticed a decrease in conversions which they attributed to a decline in google rankings which supposedly started on 1/4.
Naturally, they are attributing the decline in rankings to the intercept, or at least investigating it as a potential source.
So I wanted to ask the community if anyone has ever had the experience where site intercepts on pages have affected google rankings. We had a sampling rate of 15% on the intercept.
Thanks in advance for any feedback/comments.

We are running website intercepts from past 3 years with 100% sample rate, we have not seen any impact on SEO.
