Hello all,
I'm getting my feet wet with Qualtrics and have set up a few surveys on our website. There's one particular thing that I'm trying to figure out how to do (if possible) is to record a piece of text on the webpage as the user is responding to the survey modal. The survey appears on our online shop, on the purchase confirmation page and I'm looking to record the customer's order number so that we can cross reference it as needed.
I've looked through the embedded data guide but don't see this example in there, so not sure if I'm looking in the right place. If anyone can provide guidance on this it would be greatly appreciated.

How are you embedding the survey, if its using iframes, then you can send a message to it, which can be stored as an ED. Read more here.
Another option would be to pass the order id as a query parameter to the url.
Thanks for the quick response, ahmedA! The survey is a pop over, and it looks like the survey is embedded via iframe. I'll check out the link you posted.
If I pass the order id as a query parameter, does it need to show in the url string first? Currently the url doesn't include an order number.
