Hi,

There is an Idea, EV-1728, called “Workflow task to update survey response (e.g. fill an embedded data in a survey response)”.

The idea is labeled as “Capability exists”.

Does someone know which workflow task can do this? I am looking for such a feature.

I would like to update some Embedded Data fields of a survey response immediately after it was submitted.

I know I can use the ED box in the survey flow, but my incomplete responses and imported responses don’t go through that, that’s why I want to use a workflow instead.

Hi there, yes this workflow task was recently released and it may still be only in preview. The workflow task is called “Update survey response” and looks like the below. You may be able to ask your account team to get access if it’s not generally available yet. If that is not an option, you could also use a web service task in a workflow to complete the same task via API.

    It must be still in preview indeed. I can wait until the general availability. It’s annoying that there’s no way of knowing when exactly that would be…

    Thank you for your reply, but I am not looking for periodical bulk uploads, but continuous automatic updates, so I do need a workflow.

    I can work with the API’s, but I do see the appeal in the toolkit that you created for less technical people.

    Hi ​@JoycaV ,

    I just tested the “Update survey response” task and it’s working fine for multiple records. Previously I was doing this via a Web service task. Let me know if you need any help with building it.
