- Current Problem: Our rolling enrollment study is designed to collect responses for individual participants at 1 week intervals, with the first wave occurring at time of enrollment and the second wave occurring one-month later. There are associated post-completion surveys that should be taken after each wave. Since the single diary survey is designed to be taken at least daily, it cannot be used reliably as a trigger for the post-wave completion surveys. In order to automate the second wave completion survey, I need to be able to schedule an email trigger 5 weeks from the first completion trigger (the first completion trigger is sent 1 week after our recruitment and screening survey).
- Current Solution (if applicable): No current workaround exists or has been identified with multiple QSupport agents to be able to have per-participant intervals. Current support limits us to set dates. Within the XM directory workflow, triggered by a survey response, we are able to set up to 31 days delayed emails, and thereafter are limited by monthly intervals.
- Possible Solution: Expand the delay intervals API to allow a "weeks" dropdown (e.g. 5 weeks after x trigger). Or, allow a drill-down to select a specific desired interval (e.g. 1 month and 1 weeks and 0 days after x trigger).
- Purpose / Use Case: Healthcare customers seeking to validate patient-reported outcome scales will rely on specific intervals per-participant to determine validity of their instrument. There are increasing pressures from the FDA and other US federal agencies, and healthcare payors, to include patient-reported outcomes in drug research trials.
