Whether you’re celebrating National Chocolate Day on the 28th, National Candy Corn Day on the 30th, or just plain old Halloween on the 31st, you have endless reasons to eat your sweet treats in October.

This October we’re curious about what your favorite sweet treat is. It does not have to be something that you specifically eat in October, but if it is season inspired, let us know what season!

Task: Share one (or more!) of the following:

  • 🖼️ A photo of your favorite sweet treat, dessert, candy, or any other sweet you love!
  • 🍪 Not a sweet treat person? No problem! What’s your favorite snack/dessert?
  • 📜 Maybe its not your favorite, but a recipe passed down that you’re fond of. Share who shared it to you and why it is special to you.

Comment on a few other posts to keep the conversation going!

Also, if you’re not much of a snacker, don’t worry, feel free to share what your favorite treat in general is, savory or sweet alike.

During the first week of each month, we post a new question, topic, or activity for you to connect with the community and earn a badge. All community members who join us and contribute a thoughtful comment between October 5 and October 31 will receive this badge worth 50 points by the end of the month.

Hands down - my favorite sweet is CHEESECAKE! You say cheesecake and we are friends, LOL.
Just a couple of months ago, I took my team out for a coffee chat a local cafe near home and it is now my favorite cheesecake.

My team member enjoyed an Almond chocolate croissant at this visit.

If I had to choose a sweet - it is definitely cheesecake over chocolate for me. No calories when shared!

Happy October, all!  Enjoy the sweets and treats that you desire.

@NewHomeCXManager I definitely agree that cheesecake is in my top favorite desserts of all time! My family actually buys me a cheesecake for my birthday instead of a regular birthday cake haha. The one dessert that “takes the cake” (pun intended haha) for me though is pumpkin pie!!! Something about it being cold and the crust makes me yearn for Fall all year! 🍂

My favorite dish is home-made kheer.
I love how something so simple, made with milk, rice, and sugar, can bring such warmth and joy. Every spoonful reminds me of patience, celebration, and the comfort of home.

Chocolatine (with a generous load of dark chocolat of course) and a good old cappuccino. That’s a treat you can eat for breakfast or for dessert, it doesn’t matter, it’s always good !

That looks so comforting and delicious, especially for Fall/Winter months.

This is an impossible question for me- while I’m not a huge candy person, i DO love my pastries! Rainbow cookies, muffins, doughnuts, cannolis… And of course, you can’t beat a good crumb cake! 🤤 I can’t pick a favorite 😁

I don't usually like sweets, but I've been eating them to the point of exhaustion because of my marathon hobby.

I enjoy eating energy gels in various flavors like strawberry, banana, orange, and pear every weekend for a long time without holding back. Of course, I'm also drinking chocolate milk to recover after running

Let’s take the world of sweets together with Marathon.

My choice would be Mozartkugeln. I'm not Austrian, but I've always liked them, even though they're basically a delicious calorie bomb. The mix of pistachio marzipan, nougat, and chocolate is hard to beat, and they make a great addition to a cup of tea or coffee.

The fresh ones from confectionery shops in Vienna are absolutely amazing, but honestly, I quite enjoy the mass-produced versions as well. They may not be as fancy, but they're still a wonderful little treat whenever I come across them.

I remember fondly the “sucre à la crème” my grandmother used to make.

My favourite Indian sweet is Sponge Rasgulla! It’s basically a soft, spongy cottage cheese ball soaked in a light sugar syrup with a hint of rose flavour. Even if you’re not a big fan of sweets, you can simply squeeze out the syrup and enjoy a less sweet version. It’s incredibly soft, juicy, and absolutely delicious, especially when served chilled!

My favourite sweet treat has to be Ghewar! 😋 Especially when it’s topped with rabri. Such a delicious Indian sweet!

@SewanYun Runner here as well - getting ready for a half marathon in February.  I like campfire s’mores, salted chocolate and watermelon flavors.  Expresso and pumpkin spice aren’t bad either.  I’m intrigued by the pear flavor you mention.

I’ve been experimenting with peach cobbler.  I was gifted a giant industrial size of canned peaches and had to do something with them:

  1. About two cups peaches in heavy syrup
  2. Cinnamon
  3. Vanilla cake mix
  4. 2 sticks butter

Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour.

I made a batch last week and forgot to take a picture for the post🤣

Favourite sweet: Lozenges (sore throat due to the recent haze situation) 😅

Favourite snack (in terms of dim sum): Chee Cheong Fun, also known as Rice noodle roll

Seems cheesecake really is the way to go….but then for morning tea, can you really beat some coffee with a donut or croissant??

My favorite sweet treat is Gulab Jamun. I love its soft texture and enjoy it most when served warm. It has always been one of my go-to desserts during celebrations and family gatherings, so it also brings back happy memories.

One of my favourite snacks are the chicken hearts with farora (cassava flour) from a place called Tempero. They’re pure bliss with a cold beer.

Fall is my absolute favorite season.  It is stunning in WI with all of the changing leaves, cooler weather, and fun treats!

My kids and I love a good caramel apple from the local orchard.  Since it is such a short season, I also enjoy a pumpkin flavor coffee, candy corn and peanut mix, and a hot apple cider!

I’m not really a candy or snacks guy, but craft coffee is my guilty pleasure. Here’s a mocha latte I was working on for my wife
