Duplicating custom validation

To summarize, we need to ensure that for each Tool name entered, we have a corresponding tool use. And for empty tool name rows, the respondent is not able to select a tool use. We have been able to achieve that for a single option, out of the 7 available options using custom validation. We were looking for a way to replicate that for all 7 options of the question without having to do that manually. Additionally, this needs to be done for 15 questions. Would be great to have your input if there's a way to simply copy this validation by using java script or any method deemed best.

Hi Khushi,
I've looked into this exact problem with custom formatting rules and there is no possible method of duplication built into Qualtrics.
You could probably do this for your problem using Javascript, but you would need to create the behaviour of the validation (eg: check the values, prevent the survey from progressing, display an error message etc) as well as the individual rules. It would be quite involved.
By the time you do all this, you could probably have manually done the task anyway.
