How do I customise the length (width) of my sliders so they fit onto a mobile view?

I've customised the width of my sliders with some Java script but the slider still keeps falling off the edge of my mobile screen, which makes it less user-friendly. This is also happening with some of matrix table questions but is less of a problem.
