More space for matrix table?

Hey!
I have a few self-report instruments in my survey and I have to say that the space for the statements is sparse. I want to give it more room and I think the question contrainer could be bigger. So far, I've found custom code to extent the questions container but the matrix table stays the same size.
I want it to look like in my example below, more space for statements and a wider questions container. Can someone help me out?

In edit view, click on the divider line after the statements and drag it right.
