Qualtrics Dashboards does not have an out of the box functionality to customize beyond the default data breakouts (i.e., year, 6 months, quarter, month, etc.). I tried several customizations for your requirement but there doesn’t seem to be a fully one-time configuration that could work here.

What I suggest is you create separate metrics for each data breakout period. For example, if you are using a line/vertical bar chart and want to display CSAT/NPS trend, add three metrics for CSAT and add a metric level filter for the appropriate data range. Once every 4/5 months, you will have to add a new metric for the new fiscal quarter.

This is something I’ve been thinking about using a textiq field for myself.  What you need to do is workout what your most granular timeframe is, create a field which contains a generic value that textiq topics will then pick up and include the field into the right group.  As the year progresses, you will still need to change the selection in the textiq setup but at least it will be relatively easy to change and execute.

For instance if your most granular level is week then you need to say that week 1,2,3,4 = P01.  5,6,7,8 = P02. 9,10,11,12,13 = P03

The Topic field (coded to a textset) in a dashboard can then be used as an axis on charts etc.  As textiq can overlap selections you can also have a topic for Latest Period and Previous Period which will then allow you to do a variance.  So each period would update the topic (do the textiq at survey level).

We infact upload a week and period field via the distribution data when we send a survey so half the job is done!
