Difference Between "Remove" and "Retake" under "Actions" for EX Survey?

I hope everyone is swell.
When you go into an EX project --> Participants --> Under the "Status" column for someone with a "Complete" status, and than you click "Complete"...

  • It shows the attached screenshot

  • What is the difference between clicking "Remove" and "Retake"?
