4_IMG_6734.jpgTell us about your role:
As the Assistant to the City Manager, I handle priority-based budgeting, continuous improvement, and program evaluation. I am also the CDBG Coordinator for the City. In that role, I manage our federal Community Development Block Grant funds, which benefit our low- and moderate-income residents.

Tell us about a customer experience project you run on Qualtrics that is particularly impactful:
In March 2020, we needed to know how many employees were available at any given moment as quarantines, sickness, and remote work began happening due to COVID. Since the City covers so many services, many of them emergency-related, having an accurate count of who was able to work at any moment was vital. Using Qualtrics, we implemented a roll call survey that went to each manager role every morning. The data then flowed back into a dashboard. Through the daily roll call we were able to track 400+ employees and give accurate and informed situation reports to the Mayor and council regularly. We used the tool for a month and a half.
One great benefit was seeing our own agileness at how quickly we were able to shift a third of our workforce remote. Since then, we've conducted a survey on remote employees and then adapted our remote work policies based on those insights. We've been able to provide a remote work solution that's agreeable to both managers and employees. This stemmed from our original efforts in early 2020 to understand the big picture of our staffing needs.

For mid-sized communities (~75k residents, ~500 employees), what Qualtrics projects have turned up unexpected insights?

If time and money were endless, what would be your dream experience?
Walking across the UK with my family and a private Killers concert for me and my friends.
