The response rate widget created by the Qualtrics Implementation team for my course evaluations is showing a % higher than 100%. I cannot figure out how to configure the widget so it shows (for each course) the number of completed evaluations/the number of students enrolled. Can anyone tell me how they configured their widget to show the % of responses? Thank you.

@Kristin Anderson are you able to provide some more information about the widget that you’re using to help us troubleshoot? For our institution, we manually upload the number of invitations (so we can include all the varying attributes of our students and then filter the dashboard accordingly e.g. Course Code, Gender, Faculty, etc). We then have a custom metric in our dashboard for calculating response rate (Sum total of responses, Sum total of invitations, divide responses by invitations, display as percentage).

Is it the standard distribution metrics widget you are using in a CX dashboard? We never found success with this widget because of the way that Course Evaluations batches the emails, but that may be related to the volume of surveys we launch (approx 400,000 surveys in our two major launches) so depending on your launch size it might work.

You also might be able to reach out to the Qualtrics support team if it was something that they configured as a custom setup for you - they may be able to provide some ongoing support.

It’s just a table widget. When I am in the Custom Metrics, I can’t seem to pull in an embedded data field (i.e. enrollmentCount) if I just want a count. If I choose Average it will allow me to choose a field.

I’m interested in learning more about setting up response rates too. They do not make sense to me!

You can use subset metric in the widget directly. You don’t have to use the custom metric.
