I tried to use this code because I know that it works ${e://Field/courseCode} ${e://Field/Catalog_Nbr} Sect. ${e://Field/Class_Section}: ${e://Field/courseName} in the subject line and it does not work and I needed to list what the course the email was about.  Additionally, it does not function in the message section, but it does in the survey.

Hey @Linda_charlton

Currently, embedding data in the subject line or email content is not supported for Course Evaluations distribution. This is because each evaluation is sent as a one email, and an evaluation may have multiple courses for a single student.

As a workaround, you can include a static value in the subject line if you want to send evaluations for specific course.

Lastly, embedded data in the subject line is supported in CX programs. Hope this helps!

Hi @Linda_charlton,

Make sure that all the fields are actually stored as Embedded Data before the email is triggered. If you’re using an Email Task in the Workflow, ensure that the Embedded Data fields are referenced correctly as it is case sensitive and add this fields both in survey flow and workflow.

@Nanditha MM I was using the Course Evaluation Setup to send out the emails and all the embedded data was in the panel information.

BUT, did you pull in those fields in your Survey Flow?

@MartyK Yes, you have to get them to working in the survey.

Hi @Linda_charlton,

Did you try re-piping in the terms again in the email task?

If the piped text term is missing in the email content area, it may be due to not having consistent font-type, font-size or font-color throughout the piped text term.

For example, selecting piped text term “${e://Field/X} vs ${e://Field/X}” to change color to blue

Expected result: vs

I copied the pipe data right from the survey that works in the survey.

@Linda_charlton I would be happy to look at it and help you, but my suggestion to get on a video call wasn’t accepted (perhaps that’s not allowed)? I’d contact Qualtrics Support. They should be able to resolve this easily and quickly for you.

@MartyK It needed to be fixed on Monday, and I have been waiting since then for a Qualtrics fix. I removed the embedded data from the reminders and sent out the survey on Tuesday without the embedded data in the subject line, but I wanted to know how to do it for next year or next semester when they ask for the same survey to be completed, as Qualtrics support is still reviewing it and it might take 30 days.

It is hard when the Course Evaluation setup support is only access by email and it is slow process with a timely matter.

Ugh and ow! We don’t have “Course Evaluations” - I take it that’s not within the CoreXM? I would not be happy with a 30 day turn time for something this basic. And only email? ugh. Looks like @PraDeepKotian_XM gave you a useful answer. So, if we had met, I wouldn’t have been able to help.
