Capturing CTE Certifications for students at end of year via teacher submission

Basically, we have our XM directory w/ teacher and studnet information based upon ID #’s. I have a spreadsheet with two columns. Col 1 - CTE Industry Sector, Col 2 CTE Certification.

Teacher would input student ID, then based on selection 1 (Industry Sector), form would branch to selection 2 (Certifications) where teacher would select multiple certificates earned for the student.

Does anyone hae an example of a survey that mimics this? Or suggestions on how best to collect those certifications earned? In past it was an open Google Sheet, total mess w/ over 1,000 certs earned in the program.

Thnak you in advance.

@rwaller The way you explained your survey design in the description seems to be an efficient way to do this. What part of the process are you looking to improved?

Hi Ray @rwaller! To confirm- are you using a drill down question? Do you anticipate the CTE Industry Sectors or CTE Certifications to change over time?

+1 to @jmborzick  question about what you’re looking to improve.
My initial thought is that it may be possible to improve with a new functionality releasing sometime this year known as “autocomplete / supplemental data.” This should allow the teacher to start typing in the name of the certification, and selecting it.

Thank you for the replies, it is a drop down menu with branching and some rules. THink I have it worked out for now. The Autocomplete seems interesting as our teachers will begin by entering Student ID’s to associte the certificaitons with them. I have a call w/ @jmborzick next week and will investigate autocomplete / supplemental data further, do I need to get that activated to use?
