We’ve been able to build automations to and from IC, specifically with our attendance data. It’s more of a technical process on the back-end using SQL, cURL, and Python to pass the data back and forth and needs to be scoped according to the data being used. Let me know if you have a specific use in mind.

We use Skyward, but we use the automation nightly into the directory with our general & demographic information so that when a student completes a survey for any reason, all they have to do is enter their student ID and we have the embedded data already of (school, grade, gender, race, etc.).  This saves so much time and effort in the size of the surveys as we can jump right into the survey questions.

We have also been able to isolate surveys based on directories.  Example, if a survey is only for students that have participated in a special education program, only those student IDs with a SPED tag will be allowed into the survey.

No including all of our Early Learning sites, we have 24 schools and roughly 12,000 students, it is so helpful to have the embedded data ready to pull from and organize with!
