LCHeadshot.pngOur newest customer spotlight is none other than the wonderfully talented LaurenC at Mequon-Thiensville School District in Wisconsin, USA. She and Mequon-Thiensville's Executive Director of Human Capital, szelazoski have been shining examples of improving education through technology.
Q: Tell us about your current role.
A: I currently serve as the Executive Director of Instructional Technology and Continuous Improvement Systems for the Mequon-Thiensville School District. I lead our technology and assessment department. The technology and assessment department supports instructional technology and infrastructure, data and assessment work, and school libraries. I also support the district with strategic planning, data collection and analysis, and developing surveys for stakeholder engagement.
Q: Tell us about one project that you have run on Qualtrics that has been particularly impactful.
A: We have just launched two projects this fall:
1) Parent survey about the start of the year - hoping to capture parent feedback about COVID-19 mitigation practices and the impacts of these practices on their child(ren), district communication, and quarantine practices/transition to virtual learning. The feedback will help us gauge how parents are feeling both at a district level and school level, and the feedback (quantitative and qualitative) will help us refine our practices and communication.
2) Student Social-Emotional Pulse Survey - a series of 4 brief surveys will be distributed to students to help determine how students are responding to items associated with their social and emotional wellbeing. The items are aligned with an annual survey students complete in late winter. The purpose of the pulse surveys is to try to identify students who are demonstrating a need for additional support, especially as we transition into this school year with all students on-campus.
Q: What would you like to learn from others in the Community?
A: Anything they are using Qualtrics for to make processes and procedures more efficient and using data to inform decision making!
Q: If time and money were endless, what would be your dream experience?
A: After the last 1.5 years, a long vacation would be delightful (if we can actually go anywhere safely)!
Q: Do you have any additional or fun information you'd like to share as it relates to your experience with Qualtrics?
A: I'm so happy we have Qualtrics! We have used this tool for a number of projects in the last few years. I'm always learning new things with this tool!
