Trend Analysis - Chronic Absenteeism

I am pulling together a dashboard for trends within our county related to chronic absenteeism, suspension, graduation, and dropout rates. When creating the dashboard, I am running into some challenges pulling together these results in a widget, since they are for multiple years worth of data. I was wondering if anyone else has created this in a Qualtrics dashboard and if there are any recommendations that could be provided?

Thank you!

@apalas2016 Are you looking for multiple lines on graph showing the trends of each over time?  Something similar to this?

@jmborzick Yes, exactly! I have academic data for 18-19 all the way through 23-24.

@apalas2016  What you’ll need to do is have the x-axis be your years. Depending on how your data is formatted, you’ll either add a field group as your data series or create multiple metrics. In the example above, I used top box/bottom box metric for each line (three metrics) to get the % proficient and then school year was the x-axis.

@jmborzick it sounds like I might need to set up a field group based on what you just described. My data is set up so that every column is a different year of data, with the rows being’ each of the school sites we have data available for. Does that sound like the best approach?

@apalas2016  That’s not ideal. You’re on the right track by creating the field group of years and you might be able to do it.

The ideal situation would be to have one row of data per school per year.
