During this webinar, Sabrina Collins, the Teacher and Leader Support Services Director, from Carroll County School District reviewed 4 ways that their district utilized Qualtrics to improve their employee experiences. Below are some notes that we took:

  1. Pulse survey
    • Started pulsed with every 3 weeks were trying to gauge feedback from teachers during a hybrid environment
    • Now send out quarterly pulses, they are nimble in terms of how often they send out depending on socioeconomic issues.
    • Allows for quick visualization
    • Feedback - every piece of feedback is read
    • Action - there leaders are able to quickly take action
  2. Onboarding survey
    • Distribution: added to perception survey for all certified professionals
      • The district asked what professional learning the staff would like to see more of, examples included Google, Social Emotional Wellness, Effective Behavioral strategies and more.
      • Some classified staff felt they did not have enough resources - so the school district was able to create a resource of these webpages to better enable teachers/staff.
  3. Exit Survey
    • The utilize the following features to send, collect, and visualize the data:
      • Display logic
      • Open text
      • Dashboards
    • Distribution: within 10 days of the employees’ last day - where they still have access to their school email.
  4. Perception survey
    • Alignment of three stakeholder surveys - helped the district - are your staff, students, and parents’ expectations in line with how they perceive it?
    • A huge benefit is that when they have new admin who come into the school - they can see historical FY data and current data.
    • Expectation of 100% completion - they are conscious of when they send this survey out (not EOQ when teachers/staff are busy with grades).

Additionally, our very own Kristen Graff, @Kris10,  reviewed ways that employee feedback can be displayed in heatmaps and spotlight insights. She also showed how employee feedback can indicate key drivers around intent to stay and how leaders can easily take action on this feedback. Please contact your Account Executive if you want to have a customized demo for this feature!

One major takeaway for us was how much Sabrina and her team care about continuous improvement. @SabrinaCCarroll County, thank you so much for your insights!
