Insert piped text/embedded data from API?

Hello Qualtrics Peeps!

I’ve searched the KB and community and am not finding what I am looking for so I’m hoping one of you geniuses can help😊

I’ve been asked to create a survey that adds piped text, either in the questions or the answers, from “data points in a database”.

The plan is to use the data base to

pipe in the name of support desk representative either in an email sent to the client or in the body of the question
pipe in answer options

Is this possible? TIA!

Im not 100% sure but I dont think piping from an external source cannot be done.

Ideal option will be to use API to transfer data to Contact list. From Contact list pipe in the data to survey or email.
