Recurring Error on Comment Response Workflows | XM Community

We're seeing periodic comment response failures on a couple of our surveys ever since we updated our comment response format from single line to essay text box. We've determined that the failure might be caused by some respondents using the Return key in their comments; when they do this, it appears to insert " /n " which may be causing the workflow to fail. Is there any means of preventing and/or correcting this issue in Qualtrics? Thank you!

This might be obvious, but does your survey question require the essay text box? If not, consider going back to the single line, or even trying the "Multiple Line" option to see if that helps?


This is a parsing engine issue for JSON which Qualtrics have updated causing this all workflows to fail where a text box / comment box is being used and if a carriage return is used.
