I’ve been working on a check in form for large events where desk staff can select a person’s name from a dropdown and submit it to check them in, but if there are subsequent attempts to check that name in, it ends the survey and says they are already checked in.There are hundreds of names, so managing display logic for every name is not feasible. What I am attempting to do is to set the selected name as embedded data (“SelectedGuest”), record that name as the External Data Reference field in a contact list through an XM Directory trigger, then call that field back in through a pre-fill authenticator using that contact list where if it passes (if the name is already on the list), it pulls that External Data Reference field into the survey. Then, I use a branch that says “if embedded data field “SelectedGuest” is equal to the imported embedded data field “External Data Reference”, branch to an end of survey message that says they were already checked in.This works great on the first and
Hello! I’m trying to embed an external website into qualtrics survey using iframe. I tested the external website using iframetester.com , and it works fine there.However, when I embedded the website in my survey using html, it shows error. I also tested using “https://www.wikipedia.org/” but it also shows error… so I think it’s not the issue with external website, but more of the issue on my qualtrics survey/account? It would be preferable, but not necessary, if this additional data created a new record. Basically, before submitting, I would like to ask the user if they have additional submissions and, if yes, be able to start the survey over again from the beginning.Any suggestions would be appreciated. Hello,We've been using a formula at the end of each Qualtrics survey and in the workflow to add up all the budget items in the application. The formula consists of the question response code + question response code (repeated) for each item in the the table. I put a screenshot of the formula below. Formula we are currently usingThis formula is present at the end of the survey and in the workflow email. The issue is that the email receipt sent from the workflow to the applicant sends the formula and not the total. Interestingly enough, the formula works in preview mode of the survey, but it doesn't work in the email. Below is a screenshot of how it looks in preview mode. Successful output in preview mode Would anyone happen to know how to fix this? I don’t understand why the formula works in the survey but not in the workflow. Thank you!
The scenario is that I have 50 text examples that survey participants would be evaluating through a Matrix question (rubric).I have them set up in a Loop and Merge that randomizes the order the examples are presented. I need to be able to map the responses to the example the user was shown.For example:The user is presented with text examples Text1, Text5, Text15, Text26 and Text42.I need to be able to align the responses to those text identifiers (essentially ${lm://Field/1} or ${lm://Field/2})I’m guessing this will require javascript code and embedded data but that’s as far as my knowledge goes. I can mess around with code, but am not facile at writing it from scratch.Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,I have a survey with 40 or so questions, but two of them are not appearing as variables to select (and create tabs for) in CrosstabsIQ. I can see the questions in the survey tab, and if I export the raw data to Excel I can see the questions and data there.Any ideas?Thanks
Looking for some custom code (Java, CSS, or HTML) that would make grid questions (matrix) display in accordion style on a desktop similar to how it does on mobile -- where one attribute shows at a time and collapses once an answer is selected, causing the next attribute to open. I have scoured the board and the internet and have yet to find a solution. Anyone have any ideas?

I have a Code Task that assigns values from the survey to variables that I used to concatenate some text to send to another system. I have followed the instructions on this page https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/common-use-cases-rc/creating-an-anonymized-raffle/ to create a separate survey at the end to ask people for their email addresses whilst keeping the remainder of their responses anonymous. However, when the response is “Yes” to the question in the main survey (i.e. responder clicks yes to wanting to provide their email - so the main survey should link to the second survey where I ask for the actual email address) - it displays the image below. I have double checked the links are all correct. How do I get it to correctly link to the second survey?

I have a problem with the survey link. I created a simple survey form for a workshop registration. The QR code worked fine, but the link (from the Distribution tab) skipped the first question. I checked the workflow, and there’s nothing wrong with it. I also tried republishing the survey but nothing worked. Please help! Thank you.
I set up my survey in Qualtrics as I normally do - no tricks I haven’t used before. I previewed it using the ‘preview’ button several times - no problems there. However, the survey link (copied from ‘anonymous link’ under the Distributions tab) leads to a broken survey - it skips crucial blocks from the middle of the survey. How is this possible, and has anyone else experienced this? It’s not my computer - I discovered the problem after I launched the survey on Prolific, only to find that participants were facing this glitch and not being shown the full survey. I’ve been using Qualtrics and Prolific for years and never had a problem like this - it seems to be a problem with the link within Qualtrics. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi, I’m new to Qualtrics and javascript and have a research design where participants need to see 6 of a total 36 graphics. However, the images they see initially need to restrict subsequent image presentations. i.e. there are 6 types of image (A, B, C, D, E, F) with 6 types of information (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) (36 total), so if participants see D2 first, they can’t see any more Ds or 2s, leaving them with A, B, C, E, and F; and, 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6. If the next presentation was then B4, they can’t see any more Bs or 4s, etc, etc. until they’ve seen 6 graphics and each of the 6 types of image and 6 types of information with no repeats. I’m not sure how to do this functionally on Qualtrics without replacing and amending embedded data after presentations, which can’t work with the study design. Chatgpt has been pretty unhelpful, and I’ve had a look at some of the existing posts on this forum and found similar problems but nothing that helps me. Hi all, I am trying to show my respondents some additional text for each option shown in a side-by-side question (SEE SCREENSHOT BELOW).I cannot add this directly to the first column where the options are listed, as the options are carried forward from a previous question.My approach has been to add a second column with text boxes, and use the default choices function to populate the corresponding text that I want to show for each option. I want the second column to effectively be an extension of the first, rather than something for the respondent to edit.However, as it stands, I do not know how to ‘lock’ the text box so that this cannot be edited (or whether this is at all possible). Can anybody suggest how this could be done? Or any other approaches? Thanks!
I am conducting a survey with 2,000 individuals and have noticed a significant number of high RelevantID Fraud Scores (score of 30 or higher). I am seeking clarification on what this indicator represents and how it should be interpreted. Additionally, there are other indicators such as Q_RelevantIDDuplicate, Q_RecaptchaScore, and Q_BallotBoxStuffing, which capture different types of fraud activities. How do these differ from the RelevantID Fraud Score? This issue is particularly puzzling because when I cross-validate the data without excluding respondents with a RelevantID score of 30 or higher, my dataset aligns more closely with the national sample compared to when I exclude these respondents.
Hi Qualtrics Community!My team and I are looking to start a follow-up online survey using Qualtrics and would like to provide respondents with compensation (in the form of e-gift cards) for completion of the survey. We are looking to provide each participant (n=700+) with one gift card each at the end of the survey, to ensure participants' information/responses are anonymized, and to minimize the possibility for respondents to complete the survey multiple times to collect additional gift cards. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with adding gift card compensation to their survey without the use of Tango Card Incentive integration? If anyone has done this before and can provide a detailed process of how to complete this or is able to provide any helpful tips, it would be greatly appreciated!Thank you for all the help in advance!
Hello everyone, I have posted this a week ago and it worked, unfortunately it does not work when using simple layout. I have a text entry question (old), I will add 3 new text entry questions based on the NPS question (Promoters, Passives, Detractors). Each time only 1 out of the 3 new questions will be shown to the respondents. The old one should be hidden. I want to hide the old question and replicate the input text from any of the 3 new questions to the hidden one. I want to keep the old question there because of export and TextIQ reasons @TomG suggested the ideal solution for this scenario but I would like to make this code to fit when using simple layout. I’m building a survey that has seven different respondent buckets. Respondents could potentially qualify for multiple buckets, so I’m applying least fill by percentage in the quotas. However, I don’t see a way to have it tell me which bucket the respondent was assigned to (and therefore which quota it’s incrementing against) as a result of the least fill.I expected it to automatically create an embedded variable or something else in the survey flow once I enabled least fill so I could see this, but that doesn’t appear to be happening. Is there specific branch/embedded data logic I can use to create such a variable?
