I am creating a bipolar matrix question. In the text of the statements I want to bold/underline some of the text to make it clear the differences between the left and right side. When I bold/underline some of the text in the statement on the left everything works. However, when I try to bold or underline some of the text in the right statement it puts the bolded/underlined text in its own column. This looks very bad in the preview. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

I know how to format the text. My issue is that formatting the text with bold and/or underline is making the text come out in separate columns.
