Can deleted accounts be recreated with the same username later?

I am the brand administrator for a large university. If we delete a user account, can another account be created with the same username later? According to Qualtrics materials, the answer is no. But is there a workaround to this? It is entirely possible that a student leaves for a few years, and then later reenrolls and needs an account.

We do not have SSO and have a Qualtrics Lite license.

Thanks for any tips.

Hi!

If you deleted the account from the Administration > Users tab, you can add the user again using the same information as before (email and username), but you won’t be able to recover any information related to responses or projects.

In that case, if the students are leaving, you can simply deactivate the account so that you can reactivate it later without losing any project-related information.
