Change questions in a randomized survey | XM Community

Hello!

I am trying to create a survey that will give participants one of 5 questions randomly. That was the easy part.

What I can’t figure out is how to let them change the question if they have already answered the one presented, so that they get a different question.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @MicheleS ,

You can set an “Flag” embedded   as true (for each question)and then set it  false  if seen by Respondent through  survey flow.
Then apply , display logic based on “Flag variable” on all the questions  with its corresponding variable.
In this way it will not be shown.

To change question, I believe Table of contents is the best option

Hope this resolves your query😊!!

Thanks for your response @qualtrics_nerd!  I realize I left out an important point in my query… the survey will be on the same tablet on a kiosk in one of our buildings, so it will have the same url. Do you think the “flag” will work in that case?

That should say same IP address, not url. 😀

Hi @MicheleS ,

If each survey  link  is unique and if you do not have any IP based filter then yes , it should work as it is a Survey flow element and will be created unique for each session(for respondent).
And , as such all the related logic would work.

Hope this resolves your query 😊!!
