Custom Validation on Matrix totals to ensure it is equal to a previous question

Hi There,
I have a question. See below.
image.pngI need the total to match the second question below:
image.pngI cannot seem to find a way to address this in custom validation. The option for choosing from the totals is not there. Can anyone please guide me on how to do this. It seems like a very simple concept I've done multiple times on other platforms.

You can use math operation in custom validation i.e in custom validation don't know - Staff exposed "is equal to " math operation (pipe staff exposed from previous question - (addition of rest of staff exposed column))
