I want to ask respondents their awareness and familiarity of various apps. My instinct is a slider scale, but it looks wonky.

Any other suggestions? Or ways to make the slider look okay?

@TerryFoster , You have several great options for measuring progressive familiarity in your survey. You can choose one of the following approaches, or implement two and use A/B testing in your survey flow to see which works best for your audience.

1. Slider Question (with Customization):
Sliders are a good choice for measuring levels of familiarity

2. Multiple Choice (Likert Scale):
If sliders still don’t look right for your audience, consider a traditional multiple choice question with a Likert scale (e.g., 1–5 or 1–7, ranging from “Not at all familiar” to “Extremely familiar”). This is a familiar format and works well for awareness/familiarity questions.

3. Graphic Slider Question:
For a more engaging experience, especially with younger audiences, you can use a graphic slider question. This displays an image (like a smiley face or gauge) that changes as the scale is adjusted.
