Is there a way to carry forward choices from a matrix question for multiple scale points (e.g., very important and extremely important) ? In other words, I only want to display choices for which respondents chose they were "very important" or "extremely important."

It is not yet possible using Qualtrics functionality .

Till then you can use either display logics or JS.
+13You can just a display logic on the particular statement like if the statement shown has either of the scale point selected in matrix question then only it will be shown else not. Hope this helps!
